Whitehall invitational Pairs bowling competition Aberdeen

I went up to watch the Whitehall invitational Pairs bowling competition on Wednesday night. I was approached by a woman who asked if I could partner her in the last round on the Friday and Saturday as her partner was away on holiday. I agreed.
I came along to play the first game on Friday night and David Gourlay was sitting in the club house. I didn't realise that the Scottish bowls teams were taking part.
On Saturday I met Darren Burnett with his Commonwealth gold medal.
We did well and finished 3/5 in our group and 6/15 overall. Our last game was against some of the Scotland ladies  team and we beat them by 1 shot.
It was a great experience even though it rained all day Saturday.
