Simply Create class

We braved the snowy drive out to Alford to the 'Simply Create' craft shop for our long awaited class with Kath Stewart. We missed Kath at the SECC as Fiskars did not have a stand this time so she wasn't there. This is the first class we have attended where Kath was the teacher. It was a great afternoon. We decorated a chipboard notebook which had several techniques in it. We even had to hand stitch one of the elements. I change my decoration slightly by putting a longer ruffle vertically instead of a shorter one horizontally!! I always like to put my own stamp on something I make rather than being the same as everyone else. I will keep an eye out for more classes with Kath in the future it was fab!! Thanks Kath!!

SECC weekend better late than never!!

SECC was quiet but still enjoyable. Always a good girly weekend away. It was nice to see my good friend Lynda Chapman this time as she had been absent from the SECC for the last few shows. This year was the first time Create and Craft were at the SECC. It was great to meet Nancy Watt in person after watching her so many times on the tv. I said this time I wouldn't spend so much and kept to my shopping list with the exception of one or two items. The total was almost as much as usual but hey what's money for but to spend!!!
We were all shattered by the time we got home as we couldn't get our usual 15.45 train and had to wait for the 19.45 instead. We got home at 22.30!! Lilian and I took part in a few workshops which were good. Looking forward to the October show now.
