Simple card!!

Backing paper is from Polka Doodles Sugar Birdies cd. The stamp is from Stampin' up. A simple card.

Hobby art as seen on tv!

Saw this card demonstrated by Jenny on Create and Craft. I ordered the stamp set Anna's collection special wishes and thought I would have a go. I masked off the end of the card and I stamped with stazon. I then watercoloured using dye inks. A piece of contrasting ribbon was placed along the masking point.

Loving couple card!

Yet another fab design from digitalstampboutique. I used the little rose stamp from Crafters Companion popcorn bear romance collection and versamark to give a watermark effect background. I coloured the image with my promarkers and I used my Martha Stewart border punch to add strip detail at the bottom of the card.

A little birdie!

I love this colour of card and just had to use it when it came from my Stampin' up demonstrator this week. The stamp is from Crafters Companion Clearly Hand Stamped set. The strip of paper is from Crafters Companion Swalk disk 2. I embellished with contrasting flowers gems.

Love card

Love this stamp. I was given the set by a friend - thank you! I stamped the background with the bird and love word using the same shade of ink as the card to give a watermark effect. I printed a contrasting paper from Forever Friends cd. I used the wing of the bird to stamp the corner detail. I mounted the stamped image onto kraft card.

It's nearly Valentine's Day!

Here is a card I have made with a digital stamp from digistampboutique. I have my kids card making club at school tomorrow and a male member of staff voiced an interest in maybe coming one day to see what we do. I have cut all the elements for the card and hopefully I can persuade him to come and put it together for his girlfriend. The papers are from Popcorn Romance cd from Crafters Companion.
The kids are making a never ending card and a valentine's card so they should enjoy that.

Men and their Motors!!

I have had this stamp for quite sometime and have used it in the past. I wanted to try the distress ink water brush technique. I chose browns to give it an old look. I masked off the edge and used the stamp with versamark to give a watermark effect. Men's cards are so difficult to think up but I am quite pleased with this one. The stamp is from rubbadubbadoo and came as part of a set when I bought it.

Mandala stamps for sale!

I have just listed 13 Chris Warner Mandala Stamps on my ebay page. Click on this link if you are interested Stamps for sale! These stamps are brand new as I never got round to using them. Today I decided that they must go. Will probably go through the rest of my stamps and clear out any that I haven't used or am unlikely to use.

You're only 50 once!!

A good friend of mine will be 50 on Tuesday so I decided to make her a card using my cricut machine and gypsy.
I used Stampin up chocolate chip card for the base. I used glitter card for the icing and a free paper from a recent craft magazine for the cake case. When I cut out the glitter card the little heart was left so I used it for the flames (I have 2 as I didn't quite position my glitter card properly on the mat and had to cut it again). I used the Home Decor cart for the cake and Ashlynne's alphabet for the numbers. I welded the cake and numbers in the shadow feature. I copied and pasted the top layer and used the hide feature function so I could cut the top and bottom at the same time in different papers. I welded the number top layer and cut them in pink pearl card. I trimmed the bottom of the card so it would stand.

Think Pink

I decided to try resist embossing today, not done it for a while. I stamped my image (Stampin up - Pocket Silhouettes) with versamark ink, then used white embossing powder on top.
Once heated I used Stampin up Melon Mambo dye based ink with a finger dauber over the top. I then removed the ink from the design using a tissue so it popped. I punched around the image using Stampin up scalloped punch. Using the finger dauber and the same ink I inked the edges of the scalloped shape. Using Melon Mambo card I used the same stamp and versamark ink and stamped over the card to give a watermark effect. I used pink polkadot ribbon to decorate the card.

Valentine's Day is nearly here!!

A little Valentine card I made using my new 3 Birds Clearly Hand Stamped box of stamps. I stamped the image onto white card and used my nestabilities to frame and mount the topper. I stamped the image onto scrap paper and cut around and stuck on top of the owls. I have thousands of these mini wobbly eyes which were the right size for these owls. Iused papers from Crafters Companion cds - Swalk 1 and Occasions Autumn and Winter. I framed the card with a silver peeloff. I finished it off with ribbon and a faux bow.

Tulip Thinking of you card

This was the topper I made in the video below using the centre point feature on the cricut machine.
At last I found the time to put it onto a card. I made a fold back card.
The backing papers were from Crafters Companion Swalk 2 cd (green) and Occasions Autumn and Winter cd (wine).
I used my oval small and large nestabilities to layer up a sentiment topper to give me the smaller increments I needed between each layer.
I stamped 'thinking of you' from my new 3 birds Clearly Hand Stamped box of stamps also from Crafters Companion.
I wrapped some wine organza ribbon around and made a bow for the flower.
As you can see I put some brads where the marks were left on the purple layer by the cricut. I just had to make the holes slightly bigger.
I layered the papers onto the card with some holographic mirror board.
